BrightStar Home Care agencies are independently owned and operated, providing professional in-home care services for seniors and families across Howard County, Anne Arundel & Eastern Shore, Maryland. As the owner and CEO of Flat Creek Investments, LLC, Thomas comes to this organization as a board-certified health care executive and a Fellow of the American College of Health Care Executives, with 33 years of experience in health care administration. He earned a BBA in Finance from Texas A&M University and an MBA in Finance from the University of St. Thomas.

Thomas started his career at MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston and has held numerous leadership positions in cancer program management at nationally recognized health care systems, including Geisinger Health System in Pennsylvania, Memorial Hermann Health System, and the University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio. He served as Vice President of Cancer Services at Inova Health System in Fairfax, Virginia where he helped lead the design and operational development of the Schar Cancer Institute which opened in May of 2019.
